He is survived by: his mother Helen Rose Luko Carothers of Ottumwa, Iowa; his fiancée Debra Davis of Woodburn, Iowa; his children, Sammantha Carothers of Fremont, Iowa and Matt Black of Newton, Iowa; his grandson Vincent Johnson; his sister Beth Bennett of Washington, Iowa; and his nephew Joshua Bennett of Crawfordsville, Iowa. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, and cousins.
