He was predeceased by: his parents, Thane R. Merrill Sr. and Saidee May Montgomery; and his wife Juanita Marlene Eilers. He is survived by: his children, Gail Merrill (George) of Wyoming, Dan Merrill (Kelly) of Anamosa and Alan Merrill (Nancy) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Nicholas Merrill (Kelsey) of Springville and Michelle Buhr (Ryan) of Norwalk; and his brother Fred Merrill (Ruth Ann) of Sedonia, Arizona.. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Wyoming Cemetery in his honor.
