He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Jones and Edna Porter (Means); his stepfather John Porter; his siblings, Duane and Elizabeth; his grandparents, Goldie Means, Charlie and Hilda Jones; his parents-in-law, Francis and Mildred Thul; his siblings-in-law, Bill, Linda Vinsant, Sharon Berns, Dick Holst and Alan Thul; his nephew Joe Berns; and his great-niece Carissa Berns.
He is survived by: his wife Deb Jones of Yetter; his sister Barb Lamaak (Murphy); his sister-in-law Pat Holst; his nieces and nephews, Amber Lamaak, Ashley Lamaak, Jodi Berns, Melissa Holst, RJ Berns, Eric Berns and Bryan Holst; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Bryce Fulbright, Derek Dallas, Jordan Miller, Mason Lamaak, Caleb Lamaak, Kyler Lennon, Keagyn Lennon, Joseph Berns, Gavin Berns, Kolby Wilson, Rhett Lennon, Kinsley Phifer-Lamaak, Brittany Otterson, Kearsytn Lennon, Bailey Yates, Tristen Holst, Ella Berns, Harper Otterson and Copelyn Otterson.
