It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherman LeRoy Ruff (American Falls, Idaho), born in Pocatello, Idaho, who passed away on August 25, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther Funk Ruff and Albert Ruff; his grandfathers, RVing and Roy; his former wife Betty; his siblings, Frieda Pahl (Jim) and Eugene Ruff; Clarence.
He is survived by: his stepsister Frieda; his brother-in-law Jim Pahl; his grandchild Russell; his friend Virginia Gohl; his wife Virgina Gohl; his brother Randy Jablonski (Dennis); and his children, Douglas Ruff (Jennifer), Pamela Prather (Allen), Russell Ruff (Kimberly), Robert Gohl (DeAnn), Margaret Gianotti (Bruce) and Chris Gohl (Linda). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Eventually they moved to Touchmark in Meridian, Idaho, where Virginia selflessly and patiently cared for Roy while Parkinson's slowly took over.
