She was predeceased by: her mother Vada Mason Miller. She is survived by: her husband Tom Howell; her son Jason Howell (Alecia); her grandchildren, Taylor and Zoey; and her siblings, Cristeen Vandermeeden (Jay), Faye Powell (Kerry) and Terry Miller (Toni).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of service in Karla's memory, or donating to the Museum of the Henry's Fork that the family created.
