Though Bertie may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay Edward and Elsa Salter Baker; her husband Melvin Keith Nielson; and her siblings, Gary Baker and Judy Frazier.
She is survived by: her sons, Jerry Nielson (Merri) of Blackfoot, Terry Nielson of Utah and Korey Nielson (Alison) of Florida; and her siblings, Donna Amen and Randy Baker. She is also survived by six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild.
