He is survived by: his children, Julie Reese (Martin) of Arlington, WA, Donnie Buffum (Dawn) of Challis, ID and Gerald "JJ" Buffum of Springville, UT; and his brother Larry Battson of Washington. He is also survived by 2 granddaughters and one great-grandson.
