He was predeceased by: his parents, Fay Nilsson and Vilate Moses Nilsson; his wife Melba Longmore; his daughter Debra Tolman; and his half-brother Roger Nilsson.
He is survived by: his sons, Michael Nilsson (Julia) of Blackfoot and Brian Nilsson (Gina) of Chubbuck; his son-in-law J. D. Tolman of Blackfoot; his daughters, Linda Allen (Blaine) of Farr West and Shauna Stapleton (Brian) of Lindon, Utah; his foster daughter Keo Coles (Jody) of Pahrump, Nevada.; his stepbrothers, Tom Nilsson (Jean) and Doug Nilsson (Sandra); his half-siblings, Rodney Nilsson, Fred Nilsson (Lehua), June Nilsson and Dawna Ireton (Kent); and his sister-in-law Diane Nilsson. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
