He was predeceased by: his parents, Val H. McKinlay and Nola Marie Jones McKinlay; his son Todd McKinlay; his siblings, Joyce Hardy, Sharon Brown and Gene McKinlay; and his daughter Jennie McKinlay.
He is survived by: his children, Scott McKinlay (Wendy) of Idaho Falls, ID and Kadee McKinlay of Blackfoot, ID; and his sister Mickey McKinlay (March) of Boise, ID. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
