Rudy Miller Obituary
Rudy Kent Miller, 78, of Blackfoot, passed away, August 15, 2021 at his home. Rudy was born July 22, 1943 in Nampa, Idaho to Clarence Herbert Miller and Elda Josephine Larsen. Rudy grew up in Marsing and attended schools there, graduating from Marsing High School, where he met the love of his life, Carol Ann Ketner. On August 30, 1962 Rudy and Carol were married in Marsing, Idaho.
Rudy worked for Idaho First National Bank as a credit officer. The couple lived in Marsing until Rudy's job transferred him to Mountain Home. Their first son, Scott Kent Miller was born while they lived in Mountain Home. The couple then moved to Blackfoot, where their second son, Cody B. Miller was born and they made their home.
After working at the bank, Rudy worked for Bingham Co-op for over 40 years. He worked as credit manager and worked his way to Assistant General Manager. As Assistant General Manager, Rudy traveled a lot and was a member of many credit organizations across the state. In his younger years, Rudy was a member of the Jaycee's club and served as an officer making many life long friends.
Rudy and Carol built a beautiful cabin in Island Park which was a highlight of their life. They spent many years hunting, fishing, and spending time with family at the cabin. Rudy also loved cars. He owned 6 different Jeeps and 5 different Corvette's which he took great pride in caring for. Rudy's lawn was the pride of his life.
He lovingly spent many hours caring and keeping it in pristine condition. Rudy is survived by his sons, Scott Kent Miller of Blackfoot, and Cody B. Miller of Boise; and three grandchildren, Carlee, Kaitlyn, and Mason. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Miller; and parents, Clarence and Elda Miller. A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 23, 2021 at the Grove City Cemetery.
Family will meet with friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Hawker Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the graveside service at the funeral home.
