He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Smith and Madge Severe Smith; and his brother Sam Smith. He is survived by: his son Louis Edward of Pocatello; his wife Susan Meierhoff of Blackfoot; his daughter Pamela Pitcher (Ryan) of Chubbuck, ID; his sisters, Cindy Cannon of Moreland, ID and Virga Smith of Blackfoot; and his nephew S. Scott Smith of Blackfoot. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
