He was predeceased by: his parents, Tomas Erquiaga and Anita Echevarria Erquiaga; and his sister Alice Erquiaga Olson. He is survived by: his brother-in-law Jack Olson; his niece Kathy; his nephew Steven Olson; and his close friend Jerry Loyd.
Al is well known for his many contributions to the preservation and continuation of the local Basque culture.
