She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Horace Barber and Lucille Hatch; her husband Melvin Hammond; and her sisters, Mary Lou Hayes (Jim Hayes) and Ruth Fisher-Fewkes (Don Fisher).

She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Anderson (Steve) and Colleen Ursenbach (Bruce). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
