Cheryl Ann Montalbo Obituary

Cheryl Ann "Cher" Montalbo, 72, of Boise, Idaho, passed away on July 14, 2025.
Born on November 11, 1951, in Oakland, California, Cheryl lived a life graced by love, faith, and an enduring appreciation for the world’s beauty.

Cheryl embodied the principle of "Love thy neighbor," treating those she encountered with kindness and compassion. Her strong will and generous heart were reflected in her dedication to helping those in need. She delighted in meeting new people and left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Cheryl's family was her greatest treasure. She is survived by her daughters, Brandy Rendon and Angel Montalbo; her grandsons Ronnie Davis (and his wife Tiffanie Davis), Joshua Martindale, Jullian Martindale, and Euriel Sneed; as well as her great-grandchildren Xorn Davis and Kairi Davis. Her love for her family was boundless, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments.

A lover of nature and rural living, Cheryl found peace in the mountains and sunny days. She enjoyed long drives with her cherished Boston terriers at her side, reveling in the wonders of the outdoors. Her creative spirit flourished through planting fruit trees and decorating homes. She also had a passion for antiques and cars, finding joy in transforming spaces into works of beauty.

Music brought light to Cheryl’s life—whether it was soul or gospel melodies filling the air or dancing during cherished moments with loved ones. Christmas held a special place in her heart as a celebration of faith and family togetherness.

Guided by scripture—“In Him we have redemption through His blood” (Ephesians 1:7)—her faith informed every aspect of her life. Cheryl’s legacy is one of compassion, resilience, and a vibrant zest for life. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her as they reflect on the joy she brought into their lives.
