He was predeceased by: his daughter Barb; his parents, Les and Marguerite; and his siblings, Hay, Betty Lieberg, Quinn, Shirley Reardon and Bob.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Koehler; his children, Nancy Simkins-Labbe (John) of Meridian and Steve (Tracy) of Mesa, Arizona.; his brother Les; and his sister-in-law Kim Simkins of Helena, MT. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
