He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles R. Compton, Jr. and Dorothy Neubert Compton; and his sister Elizabeth Ann Starleaf of Ames, Iowa.. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Shull of Nashville; his brother-in-law Dennis Starleaf of Ames; his niece Katrina Starleaf; his nephew Christopher Starleaf; his brother C. Randy Compton (Sharon) of Knoxville; his nephew Nicklas Compton; his niece Lacey Compton; his brother Nolan T. Compton (Dee Anna) of Soldotna; his brother-in-law James M. Shull (Carol Ann) of Franklin; and his nephews, Jason Shull (Katy) of Franklin and Jared Shull (Mohana) of Birmingham, Alabama.
