David Worthen Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on July 29, 2022, at the age of 74, David Worthen (Boise, Idaho), born in Salt Lake City, Utah passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul W. Worthen and Billie Elaine Worthen; his brother James C. Worthen; his brother-in-law Dr. Steven Christensen; and his niece Dianna Hunter.
He is survived by: his wife Sharla Johnson; his stepchildren, Michael L. Johnson, Terri Renae Woodland (Tyler) and Mark D. Johnson; his grandchildren, Darieann Johnson, Mackenzie, Hazie Woodland and Parker Johnson; his great grandchild Rastalynn Johnson; and his sisters, Marti Scott (Dan) of Boise, Judy Hunter (William) of Provo and Bobbie Christensen (Steven) of Rexburg, Idaho.
But the cancer more likely developed from the stress associated with watching the one he cared most about for over 40 years confined in isolation and quarantined seclusion for the better part of four years, due to the Covid-19 Pandemic and all its variants and the protocols required by her assisted living environment.
Also at his request, in lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice would be more appreciated. Scott's favorites were St. Luke's Cancer Institute (MSTI), WCA (Women's and Children's Alliance), St. Jude's Children's Cancer Center, the Idaho Humane Society, and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
