She was predeceased by: her parents, James Aaron and Pearl Marks (O'Neil); her husband Ronald Lawrence McCoy; her daughter Tracy Lynn Ellis; and her siblings, Larry Marks, Patricia Marks, Thomas Marks and Carol Marks.

She is survived by: her sisters, Patricia Skeen, Geneva Cecil (Gerald) and Sharon Moran (Mark); and her children, Terri Johnson (Patrick), Nadine Knight (Brent), Charles Ellis (Sonja), James Ellis (Peggy) and Kate Ragsdale (Nick).
