It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Derek S Eckstein of Boise, Idaho, born in Newark, Ohio, who passed away on November 6, 2022, at the age of 41, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Christine "Christy" Ransom and Bennett Shuckhart Eckstein; his sister Jackie Young; and his grandparents, Chuck, Marlene Grennel (Harry L. Gilbreth), Bennett F and Mary C Eckstein.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Stacie Aspiazu; his girlfriend's children, Ceona and Jullian; his son Matthew Gast (Ohio); and his siblings, Tig Candelaria (Ohio), Mark Flowers II (Ohio), Felicia Eckstein (Ohio), Autumn Bell (Ohio), Fayeanne Wood (Montana) and Kyle Hunt (Ohio). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
