“I believe that I knew Ellis (Mike) as his roommate at the University of Chicago, and he also invited me to the ranch for the summer after graduation. We both went our separate ways - both travelling the world, and lost touch. I have the best memories of him from our Grad school days - and truly wish now that we had kept in touch. He may have been viewed as cantankerous, and a maverick, but he was a true friend to me, and influenced me in many positive ways. Rest well, old friend”
