It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Leroy Sorensen of Boise, Idaho, born in Ely, Nevada, who passed away on May 3, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Gerald Leroy departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Gerald Leroy may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Gerald Leroy leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his brother David Sorensen; and his former wife Susan Sorensen (Cooper). He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Sorensen (Hurless); his siblings, Jeanette Ellis of Mount Vernon, WA, Loretta Sorensen of Edmonds, WA and Richard Sorensen of Wasilla, AK.; his stepsons, Brian Hurless and Scott Hurless of Challis, ID; and his uncle Oats. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
