As we bid Iris farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Iris is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Theodore Fischer and Eunice Fischer; her sisters, Shirley and Theo; her husband Wallace Schmidt; and her son John Schmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Bryan Schmidt (Tammy) and Ilene Dudunake (Harry); and her grandchildren, Savannah Brotzman (Kyle) and Brandon Schmidt. She is also survived by great-grandchildren and great-grand puppies.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Cloverdale Funeral Home (1200 N Cloverdale Rd, Boise, ID 83713).
