Joe took me as a student who was somewhat broken and downtrodden and found the way to draw me out and draw me up. He used his insights and musical expertise to bring me to a new place and infuse hope and life into me again. I am forever thankful for his gift and giving of his gifts to me. He changed my life.”

“Jan & family, I am Todd Horner a former guitar student at BSU. I moved out of state, but I am back to visit and wanted to look Joe up. I was greatly saddened to see he passed this fall. Joe made a profound impact on my life. I wanted to thank him face to face and tell him what his tutelage and support meant to me at the time, but I also wanted to tell him what it meant for me in life. Joe greatly blessed me and I am so grateful. Thank you for this page in his memory. My prayers for you all.”
