She was predeceased by : her parents, Leonard Planansky and Patricia Planansky (Wightman). She is survived by : her wife Gina Persichini; her sister Jan Bendio (Ruric); her niece Jenna Bendio; and her great-nephew Jonah Bendio.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Center for Benedictine Life at the Monastery of St. Gertrude or The First Tee of Idaho are welcomed in her honor.

“Kathy was my friend and an advocate for my personal success. She came to my retirement party in 2022 and I looked forward to seeing her at our retiree luncheon in 3 weeks. I'm shocked to learn of her passing and sad that I can't come to her service. So, as my only opportunity to say goodbye, you will surely be missed by family and friends who gather to share many fond memories and kind words.
