She was predeceased by: her parents, Willoughby Mactaggart and Anita MacTaggart (Luckhardt); her husband Ronald LeRoy Garrett; her son Ronald Garrett (Skip); and her daughter-in-law Pamela Garrett.
She is survived by: her daughter Sherri Carpenter (John); her grandchildren, Ron Garrett (Cynthia), Andi Garrett, Liz Carpenter and Laurel Happel (Robert); her great grandchildren, Emma, Bailey, Bo, Sophia and Sarah; and her brothers, Earl and Verl MacTaggart. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials suggested to. Special Olympics or the MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Foundation.
