He was predeceased by: his parents, Elaine Stephens and Lee Stephens; and his wife Karen Swanson-Stephens. He is survived by: his brother Craig; his daughter Lacey; and his granddaughter Elaina.
Throughout his life, he fondly recalled snickering about the time the boxing league put up Christmas decorations in Old Downtown Kennewick - because the donation were not enough, they never took them down.
