Robert Carloss Wright Obituary
Robert Carloss (Bob) Wright passed away on September 5th, 2023, at 68. He is survived by his wife Kathryn "Kathy" and his two children, Robert William (Stephen) and Alexander Ian “Alex” (Hannah). Bob was born in Boise, Idaho, on April 9th, 1955, to Dellis Wright and Betty Pearl Harris. He was the oldest of their four children, Edwin Andrew Wright, Anna-Marie Robertson (Doyle), and Donald Phillip Wright, along with siblings Harry Warrick (Terri), Ginger Simosko (Ken), and Angela Notarangelo (Nick).
Bob was raised in the Treasury Valley, living in Boise and Murphy. After he graduated from Melba High School, Bob attended college for a short period before entering a career in sales. Bob had experience in automotive and construction sales and finished his career as a realtor.
Bob met his future wife Kathy in 1980, quickly making an inseparable pair. Married in 1981, they enjoyed ten happy years of marriage before they decided to grow their family. Bob was a caring father whose proudest achievement was his two children. He left the workforce after the birth of his first son and took on the role of full-time parent.
Bob always had a passion for cars. One of his first vehicles was a 1966 Impala Super Sport that he fondly nicknamed Bertha. Bob recreated that experience with a 1970 Ford Mustang that he restored with his two sons.
One of Bob’s passions later in life was computers and technology, starting with his first computer in the early 90’s. Throughout the following years, Bob built a technology business in the valley, providing computer repair services and free online technical support. He pioneered technical support in the early age of the internet, helping those diving into computers themselves.
Bob will be remembered most for his protective instincts and extraordinarily subtle humor. His service will be Thursday, September 14th at 11 a.m. at Reylea Funeral Chapel in Boise, ID. The family would appreciate it if anyone would like to honor Bob by making a donation to The National Alliance for Mental Illness. http://www.nami.org
