He is survived by: his brothers, Gerald Dent and Ralph Dent; his wife Thelma Peterson; and his children, Mary Ann Wilson, Nancy Archibald, Rex Dent, Bruce Dent, Colleen Dame, Ivan Dent, Joseph Dent and Thomas Dent. He is also survived by family grew to include 38 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:40 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (1133 N Park Ln, Eagle, ID 83616).
