He is survived by: his wife Carla Matthews; and his children, Terri Heitzman, Kellie Heath, Samantha Shepherd, Sarah Matthews, John Matthews, Robert Matthews and Carl Matthews. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
