He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lois Hatten and Harold W. "Hal" Hatten, MD; and his siblings, Lisa Reese (Curtis Reese), Mike (Joy Hatten), Dave (Carol Hatten), Laurie (Harlan Boyd), Lindy Hatten and John (Katy Robinson Hatten).

Donations to her go to St. Luke's Cancer Institute, where Steve received his care.
