“Stu was a good friend and always fun to hang out with. He and I had dinner at Murphy's for his 30th birthday. We also traveled together to the International in San Antonio in 2010. Stu came to see me in the hospital when I was just barely hanging on after a botched surgery followed by three more surgeries to get things fixed. Given his experience with a heart transplant, I knew I couldn't claim he didn't understand what I was going through, and his words of encouragement turned me around.”
