She was predeceased by: her husband S. Hugh Atchley Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Joan Boren (Mike), Lynn Atchley, Steven Atchley (Stacey) and David Atchley (Penny). She is also survived by nieces and nephews, as well as 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Boise Philharmonic Master Chorale in Sylvia's memory.
