Thomas Lynn Acker Obituary
Thomas "Lynn" Acker, age 72, passed from this world on November 4, 2022.
Lynn was born on February 3, 1950 to Buford and Benniece Acker in Eutaw, Alabama. The family moved to Idaho in 1956 where he attended local schools, played football, and graduated from Capital High School in 1968.
Upon graduation, Lynn entered the construction field, specializing in excavation as a heavy equipment operator, retiring in 2010 from Owyhee Construction.
Lynn had an incredible work ethic as was known as "Popeye" to many in the field. In 1976, Lynn met Karen Steglich and they were married on June 17, 1983. Weekends were spent camping, fishing, and hunting in the beautiful mountains of Idaho with family and friends.
In 1986 they purchased 611 Linden Street where Lynn put his body, heart, and soul into its restoration.
Lynn was an artist creating beautiful charcoal drawings of the mountains he loved. He was a landscape artist, creating a rock garden enjoyed by many. Lynn was blessed with many beloved pets throughout his life. His care of them unsurpassed.
Lynn was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Karen Steglich Acker, brother William Larry Acker, sisters-in-law Kristine Steglich and Kathryn Reno, nephew Ashton Reno, niece Alyssa Reno, cousin Rick Cummings, four loving Kitties, and many wonderful friends.
