He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Wheatley and Ennis Hogland; his great-aunt Maude Mae; his brother Michael; and his brother-in-law David Stout.

He is survived by: his former spouses, Jim Humbird and Winifred Lacy; his godchildren, Emerald and Peter; his wife Connie; his sister Sue Smith (Bob) of Boise; his children, Duane, David, Lisa and Ragen Moura (Jeff); his grandchildren, Jordan and Addison; his son Andy Humbird Stout of Chalis, ID; his granddaughter Kathy Ann; his daughter Michelle Oleson (John) of Gleneden Beach, OR.; his stepson Michael F. Estess of Spokane; his children, Emily, Michael Peter, Mark H. Estess of Boise, Natalie, Alexander, Carolyn and Gretchen Ratzlaff (Bruce) of Portland; and his grandchildren, Sarah and Ryan. He is also survived by stepfather to her three children and ultimately, seven grandchildren.
