The memory of William Orris Houston Jr. of Boise, Idaho, born in Pueblo, Colorado, who passed away on July 5, 2025 at the age of 93, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William Houston and Vera Houston; his wife Betty Jean of Martin's College; his sister Vera LeJeanne; his brother-in-law Robert Jones; and his nephew John Jones.

He is survived by: his daughters, Kelly Houston Staskey (Daryl) and Shelly Houston; his sister Mary Jane Hammer; and his pet Kodi. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A rosary was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist (807 N 8th St, Boise, ID 83702). Viewing was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Morris Hill Cemetery (317 N Latah St, Boise, ID 83706).

“Dear Family Members of Doctor Bill Houston, I remember very specially Doctor Houston, when I was a chaplain at St. Alphonsus Regional Center in Boise, Idaho., I enjoyed many good visits with Doctor i and his dear wife. We Sisters of the Holy cross also were guests many times in their home in Sun Valley. My prayers of gratitude for Doctor's life and for all of the persons he and his family members have touched .God bless everyone Sister Emily { formerly many years ago in Boise Idaho. }”
