William left this world on October 1, 2025 at the age of 85, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his mother Gwendolyn Savage; his sisters, Laura Chadwick Peterson and June Savage Hartley; his father William Damon Savage; and his siblings, Elsie Ilene, John, James (Jim), David (Dave) and Donald (Donny).

He is survived by: his wife Kay Savage; his children, Wendi Peterson (Todd), Laura Clark, Amanda Alvarado (Mark), Jennifer Lopez, Belinda Arvidson (Max), Damon Savage (Sara), Mark Savage (Rachelle) and Shandall Banner (Daniel); and his friend Gerald Talbot. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren with 1 on the way, and 10 great grandchildren.

As such, his family requests that in lieu of flowers, monetary donations be made to the Nyssa High School Athletics Program in his name.
