He is survived by: his wife Anita Hanson; his children, Aaron Hanson (Johanna), Michael "Chip" Hanson and Mary Rose Hanson; his stepchildren, Angela Hittle (Scott), Paul DelCarlo (Celeste) and Heather McLean (Andrew); his grandchildren, Finn and Milo; his stepgrandchildren, Austin (Kendra), Dylan (Josie), Jasmin, Krider and Penny; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Brayden, Riley, Logan and Brynleigh; and his siblings, Michele Niblock (Gayland), Melissa Wheatley (Tom), Marlene, Melodee Martin (Tracy), Mary Margaret, Mark (Mari) and Matthew. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to local conservation efforts or a charity of choice in Mike's name.
