We are sad to announce that on May 7, 2025, at the age of 25, Jake Melton of Buhl, Idaho passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Jake has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, John and Gelinda Melton; and his uncle Johnny Melton. He is survived by: his parents, Jason Steven and Amy Christine Rothwell Melton of Butler, Missouri; his brothers, Tristin Melton of Butler and Brandon Melton of Springfield, Missouri; and his grandparents, Dale Rothwell (Terri) of Raymore, Missouri and Jane Rothwell of Chico, California. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins.

“I did not know Jake, but our daughter Lily worked with him at Les Schwab tires in Buhl Idaho. She said Jake was such a funny kid, and she really enjoyed working with him. Our families' condolences go out to all of Jakes family, friends and loved ones. I know there will forever be a sadness because of the loss of Jake.”
