He was predeceased by: his wife Delia Velasquez; his parents, Felipe Velasquez and Manuela Chavez; and his siblings, San Juana Banda, Juanita Clemmons, Santos Pearl and Alfredo Valdez.
He is survived by: his children, Lorena Velasquez, Eliza Martinez, Jay Velasquez, Gabriel Velasquez and Fabian Velasquez. He is also survived by his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and countless relatives and friends.
