She was predeceased by: her parents, Doyle Symms and Myrtle Smith Symms. She is survived by: her sister Carolyn; her cousins, Ginger and Dick; her brother Bill; her cousin Steve Symms; her husband Jim Mertz; her son Jamie (Zel); her grandchildren, Hattie (Sofia), Max and Milo; her great grandchild Carrie Clark (Ric); and also, Doyle, Jack, Maisie, Fran, Joe (Kimberley), Sean and Jay.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Langroise Center.
