He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Slyke and Ruth Van Slyke; and his brother Delbert Van Slyke. He is survived by: his wife Lois Elaine Judy; his children, Debra Van Slyke of Spokane, WA, Steven (Elizabeth Luecker Van Slyke), Judy Van Slyke of Portland, OR and Tracy Van Slyke Thompson of Evanston, WY; and his brother Milton Van Slyke of Annandale, VA. He is also survived by five grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
