He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Packer and Ina Mecham Packer; and his siblings, Betty, Jim, Bill, Jack, Eleanore, Mike and Sharon.

He is survived by: his wife Gwen Marie Phillips. He is also survived by his beautiful wife of 55 years and many nieces and nephews.
