He is survived by: his brothers, Robert "Beano" Pickens (Jean) of Pocatello, Idaho and Ronald Pickens of Pocatello, Idaho; his children, Michael Pickens of Pocatello, Idaho, Camille Aikens (Tom) of Pocatello, Idaho and Thomas Pickens (Angela) of Pocatello, Idaho; and his grandchildren, Ashley Patrick (Jake), Heather (Nathan), Knibbs, Andrew Aikens, Chad Fogerson (Felicia), Christopher Pickens, Cayston Pickens (Tesia) and Alyssa Pickens. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Harvey was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, and Pheasants Forever.
