He was predeceased by : his parents, Lamar V. Kinder, Sr. and Mary V. Erickson; his brothers, James Dean Kinder and Lamar V. Kinder, Jr.; his brother-in-law Thomas A. Rodgers, Sr.; and his great-niece Aurora J. Kinder.

He is survived by : his son Ruben Kinder; his siblings, Terina Kinder, Mickie Jeffers, Linda Gallagher, Debra Rodgers, Cindy Banning, Greg Mascaro and Ryan Lambert; and his grandsons, Kyler Blunt and Bently Kinder. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
