We announce the death of George David Hamilton of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, who passed away on June 20, 2026, at the age of 87. George will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. George will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew George will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture his life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. George’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dwight Hamilton and Helen Hamilton (Scott); his wife Rita Holecek; and his brother Dwight Hamilton. He is survived by: his siblings, Carol Namchuk and Bob Hamilton; his daughters, Sarah Robinson and Deborah Hamilton; and his granddaughters, Jane and Alyssa Robinson. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul of North Idaho or Companions Animal Center.
