He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Kanet and Ruth Charlotte Goosmann. He is survived by: his wife Sonja Nehr-Kanet; his son Alexander Kanet; and his brother Eddie Kanet (Ranae). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
