He was predeceased by : his wife Helen Edna DeHaas (Sheldon); and his parents, Harry and Laura. He is survived by : his sons, Merle Jr. (Pat) and Terry; his friend Jack Hull; his children, Pat and Tim; and his siblings-in-law, Terry and Judy. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and countless friends.
