He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Lee Covault (Burge) and Richard Lee Covault; his son Benjamin James Covault; his former wife Carol Francia; his stepbrother Don Perkins Jr.; and his stepfather Don Perkins.
He is survived by: his former wife Jeanne Weber; his son Jonathan Covault; his wife Mary Wells (Cole); his stepchildren, Sarah Davis (Chadwick), Richard Evan Wells (Ruby) and Emily Wells (Cedric Cook); his grandchildren, Oliver, Gwendolyn, Owen and Nina; his siblings, Jonathan M. Covault (Mike) and Linda Wood (Ed); and his stepsister Marion Logue. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Eagle Christian Church - Central Valley (100 S Short Rd, Eagle, ID 83616).
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the Women's and Children's Alliance, and the Idaho Food Bank.
