He was predeceased by: his parents, James Story and Lydia Story; his wife Vicky; his daughter Lydia Van; his arents, James and Lydia Story; and his brother Robert Story.

He is survived by: his children, Jim Story (Marie) of Nampa, John Story of Nampa, Ellen Davenport of Fernwood, Samuel Armas of Fernwood, Mary Thorson of Nampa and Yolanda Padilla of Nampa, Idaho.; his grandchildren, Erika Story, Jazmen Armas, Jess Palmer, Brett Palmer Jr., Colton Armas, Ben Armas and Cameron Armas; Clark Archer of Fernwood, Eric Garcia of Nampa and Stephanie Kay of Fernwood. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
