It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Val Hymas of Filer, Idaho, who passed away on October 8, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Junior and Billie Jeane Hymas; and his brother Charles Stephen Hymas. He is survived by: his children, Richard Hymas (Lynnae), Clark Hymas (Katie), Kara Warner (Troy), Janae McCaughey (Dan) and Dustin Hymas (Madalyne); and his grandchildren, Aiden, MacKenzie, Connor, Kate, Aspen, Bryson, Oliver, Eliza, Tyler, Ashlyn, Cash, Jake, Brynlee, Thomas, Edison and Alexandra.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Church of Latter-Day Saints Filer Stake Center (840 W Midway St, Filer, ID 83328). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
